The Henry Box School – Celebrating GCSE achievements
Posted on: 21/08/2025The Henry Box School is proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students in this summer’s GCSE examinations. These results reflect the dedication, resilience, and ambition of our students, supported by a committed team of staff and a culture of high expectations.
A total of 174 students sat exams this year, with almost every student entered for both English and Maths (98%). In English, 68% of students secured a standard pass (grade 4+) and 53% achieved a strong pass (5+). In Maths, 58% achieved 4+ and 39% achieved 5+.
Science participation and attainment were another highlight: 97% of the cohort took at least two sciences, and around 40% pursued Triple Science—evidence of strong engagement with STEM pathways.
Good News Highlights
- A number of students achieved a full set of Grade 8s and 9s, showcasing exceptional academic excellence.
- The core subjects of English, Maths and Science had excellent outcomes along with Child Development, Food and Nutrition, Religious Studies and French, with 96.55% of students achieving Grade 4+.
