Ofsted Report
“Teachers know their pupils well and plan learning carefully that caters for pupils’ needs. They have high expectations of what pupils can achieve and set them challenging tasks accordingly.”
The Ofsted Report of 2017, once again, recognises the excellent work of the school in providing high quality education for the community of Witney and surrounding area. The bar has been raised significantly since our last inspection in 2013 and so I am delighted that our strengths were recognised and there were not any areas of significant weakness.
In summary, Ofsted now make six main judgements. Their findings were:
Overall effectiveness | Good |
Effectiveness of leadership and management | Good |
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment | Good |
Personal development, behaviour and welfare | Good |
Outcomes for pupils | Good |
16-19 study programmes | Good |
