Paper 1 – Synoptic Assessment paper – Child care and development 0-5 years 

• 1 hour 30 minutes
• 80 marks
• 50% of final grade 

Non-examined assessment:

• 14 hours in class
• 92 marks 
• 50% of final grade 
• There are 6 tasks in which candidates are required to write reports, plans or evaluations of child-centred scenarios such as care routines, play and activities to support the child, expectations of the early years practitioner and the importance of observations in early years childcare.
