Parents' Evenings and Tutor Meetings
Parents’ Evenings for Years 9 to 13
For Years 9-13 Parents’ evenings, parents will have a five-minute meeting with each member of staff in Years 9 and 11 and a ten-minute meeting with each member of staff in Years 12 and 13.
Y12 and 13 also have 5 minute apps if they are meeting with a single teacher, and 9 minute appointments if there is more than one teacher on the call.
You will find a link to the booking site under Quick Links above or by clicking here.
Remote Parents’ Evenings
Your child’s Parents’ Evening will take place remotely this year. We have bought into a package that is linked to School Comms and our present Parents’ Evening software. The package will allow you to make appointments with your child’s teachers and will then set up the meeting for you online. You will be sent a letter a before each Parents’ Evening with specific details.
You will need to have a device with a microphone and speaker and a compatible web browser. We recommend:
- Using your smartphone for video appointments. If you don’t have a smartphone with a front facing camera, use a laptop or computer with a webcam.
- Using a headset (or earphones with a microphone) to reduce echo.
- Please use one of the following compatible web browsers:
iPhone/iPad: Safari
Android: Chrome or Firefox
Windows: Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge
Mac: Safari, Chrome or Firefox
Linux: Chrome or Firefox
Please click here to see a video which shows you how to log in to book, and later attend, video appointments at your school's Parents' Evening.
Tutor Consultations for Years 7 and 8
In Years 7 and 8 parents will have a twenty-minute meeting with their child’s form tutor who will collect information from your child’s subject teachers beforehand to inform the meeting. Rather than have a specific day for the meeting we have identified a one-week window for these meetings to occur. This still needs to be booked in via the online booking system, but the appointments will be held in person in your child’s form room. We hope that this will enable you to have a full and meaningful discussion about your child’s progress and to build up a relationship with your child’s tutor.
