BT Live online career challenge

Students are invited to join BT to gain virtual work experience  in April and May 2022

BT is one of the world’s leading communications services companies, connecting customers in 180 countries.

Their purpose is simple: they connect for good. Through the power of technology, they're supporting customers to live, work and play together better.

Their fixed broadband and mobile networks are connecting the nation and their cyber security experts are helping to keep the country safe.

As data becomes increasingly important to their business and to our everyday lives, we’re excited to be working in partnership with BT.

Students are offered the opportunity to help them solve some real life business problems using data, gain virtual work experience and certification.

All events are free to attend, hosted on MS Teams and for the duration of 45 minutes.

Grant Thornton

Access Accountancy Virtual Work Experience: April 2022

Suitable for students in years 11 to 13.

Grant Thornton is part of a global network of independent audit, tax and advisory firms, made up of some 58,000 people in over 135 countries.

The Access Accountancy programme is designed to deliver real change and welcome talented, ambitious young people to the profession from all backgrounds. The programme is in line with Grant Thornton’s purpose and is part of our commitment to achieving social mobility across the UK. The programme offers a four-day virtual work experience committed to providing work placements to students from diverse backgrounds and to generate interest in accountancy. Applications are now open. The HSBC Work Experience programme has been set up with the idea to help young people from different social-economic backgrounds to gain an insight into a professional environment, as well as the banking industry.

Suitable for students in years 11 to 13.

In response to COVID and the resulting new way of working this programme will be a blended experience, with both a virtual and a physical experience (where available), giving you an insight into the future way of working.

The programme will be run virtually for 4 days, where students can gain insight in to the different roles and functions across HSBC, as well as improving their personal and employability skills.

Where physical placements are available, the student will spend the day with in a function getting hands on experience of what it is like working for HSBC.  These physical placements will be available across different functions of the bank across the UK

The programme is going to run on the following weeks

Dates:   Week commencing 1st August 2022          

HSBC note that students can list their location preferences when applying, but please note that they cannot make any guarantees on placing a student in their preferred location as this is subject to availability.

The closing date for applications is 20th February 2022, however places are offered on a rolling basis and they reserve the right to close some adverts early if we all spaces are filled. Places are limited, s it is recommended students apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
