The Henry Box School is thrilled to announce an outstanding set of A Level results for 2025, celebrating the academic excellence and determination of its students.

This year’s results reflect a strong performance across a wide range of subjects, with students achieving top grades and securing places at leading universities, apprenticeships, and career pathways.

The Henry Box School is delighted to celebrate the achievements of its A Level students, who have received their results today after two years of dedicated study.

This year, 27% of all A Level grades awarded were A*-A (an increase of 6% on 2024 results).  This is a reflection of the exceptional commitment, hard work, and resilience shown by our students throughout their time in Sixth Form. We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our students and wish them every success for the future.

Results Highlights:

  • Grade Distribution Across A Levels:
    • A–A:* 27% of all grades awarded
    • A–B:* 52%
    • A–C:* 69%
    • A–E:* 95%
  • Several students achieved average point scores above 50, placing them among the top performers nationally and some students achieved average point scores of above 60.
  • Subjects such as Mathematics, History, English Literature, and Biology saw particularly strong outcomes, with high proportions of A*–B grades.
  • 10 students achieved a full set of A*/A grades.
  • A number of students completed vocational qualifications alongside their A Levels, with distinctions awarded in areas such as Applied Science and Business.

Wendy Hemmingsley, Headteacher, shared her pride in the students’ accomplishments:

“These results are a testament to the hard work and commitment of our students, supported by a passionate and skilled team of teachers and support staff. We are incredibly proud of every individual and the diverse paths they are now embarking on.”

Carl Tysom, Head of Sixth Form, added:

“It’s inspiring to see our students thrive academically while also developing the confidence and character to succeed beyond school. Whether heading to university, apprenticeships, or employment, they leave us ready to make a meaningful impact.”

The Henry Box School continues to foster a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and personal growth. With a broad curriculum and strong pastoral support, the school ensures every student is empowered to reach their full potential.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
