The Henry Box School is a successful, 11-18 comprehensive school attractively situated beside the green in the centre of Witney. We have around 1200 students on roll and admit 240 into most year groups in Years 7 to 11. The school achieved academy status in June 2012. Admissions to the school are administered by the Oxfordshire County Council’s admissions department and priority for admission is given to students living in the catchment area of the school. Entry to the Sixth Form is subject to performance at GCSE.
Our commitment to all students fulfilling their potential is demonstrated by a broad curriculum for all, with additional support for students with special needs, and those with particular talents. The school achieves very high academic standards as well as offering a rich and varied extra-curricular programme including residential experiences for all students, trips abroad, concerts, dramatic productions, sports teams and after school clubs.
Students are supported by House Leaders, through our vertical House system and also by Student Managers who work across year groups.
We look forward to welcoming you to Henry Box and will be pleased at any time to discuss the many educational and other opportunities provided for our students and the community we serve.
