The Science Team alongside the Library have been encouraging all present Year 7 students (and next week will launch to the new Year 7 students) to take part in a competition to raise awareness of plastic pollution in our oceans. A campaign alongside this competition has be organised by a group of passionate authors and illustrators, including Michael Morpurgo and  Jacqueline Wilson, who feel that we need to start educating young people about the impact plastic pollution is having on our planet.Students have until the end of term one (Oct 2018) to design and build a sea creature out of recycled material. Winners will be chosen by the Science Team and Mrs Jones the School Librarian. The overall winner will be entered into the main competition run by https://www.authors4oceans.org/competition.
