What specialist equipment will my child need?

In order to be successful in GCSE Geography lessons students will need:

  • Basic Maths equipment: calculator, protractor, ruler

  • Drawing equipment: pencil, ruler, colours

Whilst we provide copies of the textbooks for students to use in class, some parents do choose to purchase copies of the main textbook we use:

  • Eduqas GCSE (9-1) Geography B, Second Edition (ISBN: 978-1510-477544)

What revision guides do you recommend?

These are optional to buy, as we do not feel that there is a particularly effective revision guide available for the Eduqas Geography B course.  We therefore produce our own revision material which we will provide to our students across Year 10 and 11.

During Year 10 this will primarily comprise revision booklets used in class to review Year 10 knowledge at the beginning of lessons.

During Year 11 we will provide a booklet for each topic of the course to support a structured programme of revision at home and in school that will run through the whole of Year 11 involving booklet activities (homework set each week), Satchel One homework quizzes and exam practise at the beginning of lessons.
