Oxfordshire Mischief Makers Summer Reading Challenge 2018
A local library is a creative, relaxed and safe place for young people to start volunteering.
Oxfordshire County Council is offering young people aged 13-24 the chance to help with the ‘Mischief Makers’ Summer Reading Challenge from 14th July – 15th September 2018. This is a national scheme which encourages children to read during the holidays. Students may be involved in tasks such as
- Putting up displays
- Helping children to find books
- Listening to children talk about their books
- Helping with themed activities
Training and support will be provided.
If you would like to get involved, please visit www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/libraries, search 'Become a Summer Reading Challenge Volunteer' and apply to the library of your choice. Alternatively you can visit your local library to find out more.
