RS Oxfam Warehouse visit
Posted on: 19/07/2018On Wednesday 4th July, The Henry Box Schools' Oxfam ambassador group went to visit the Oxfam supply centre in Bicester and I am confident to say that no one returned home without having learnt something new. Everything there was mind-blowing. A team member was with us the whole time answering all our questions and explaining everything in detail, they told us that everything was ready to leave immediately if needed because everything was already packed. There must have been hundreds of boxes, and there were a lot of Oxfam buckets made specially to keep water clean, but there were also some structures to keep water other than the buckets and they could send pumps to get water from clean supplies.

My personal highlights were seeing the warehouse and how organized it was. The amount of effort and work that had gone into that warehouse was amazing there was nothing out of place, it was photographed labelled and had a QR code for extra security or for people who didn’t speak English.
